The great day
Concretization of several months of research, it is the thunderbolt. It is beautiful, and not expensive. (I will understand why later...) The engine is fully working, it is attacked by rust at various places but I think that i be able to repair all that, I saw examples on Internet. Yes, I was naive, I would see it now, I would not buy it. I had read many councils of purchase: "you do not precipitate, it is necessary well to look at, etc." And well, this day, I forgot all of them...

That it is beautiful.

That it is less beautiful.

Holes, still of the holes…

The interior, at least, is already dismounted…

And when we scrapes a little…

Rust, covered everywhere with "sauerkraut" and matt gray painting. The bay of windshield, the two front wings, bottoms of case, the bottom of the front face, the gutter has various places, the passages of wheels are to be changed, the list is long. The "travelling frame" and trains are fortunately in very good state.
But I do not discourage myself. I have only to cut out the parts that it is necessary for me on an operational broken bus, or to buy new spare parts.
And by seeking a bus donor of parts, I found a splendid bus, very operational, in very good state, (although while scraping a little, rust was present at various place), not expensive, but high-roof.
Rather than to change the wings, bottoms of case, the bottom of the face front, the parts of the floor before and back, the bottom of bay of windshield, it was to better change the roof of the second bus.

There are no more front doors and no sliding door. They were sold separately some time before. In exchange, I recover others of them on another bus dedicated to the demolition.

One whole afternoon, with my brother, to dismount these three doors whose screws were seized up. My brother valiantly will help me during more than fifteen days.

There is no more the engine.

On the whole, I bought a rotted bus, but with many parts in good condition, two engines (one which goes and which is already on the bus and one in spare parts), and a bus in good condition, but with a high-roof, without engine and many missing parts. All of that for the price of a bus in very average state.
I begin the restoration with many parts and a healthy base.
